ELIJAH HOUSE TRAINING
PRAYER MINISTRY TRAINING OVERVIEW
The vision for Elijah House School of Ministry is founded upon biblical principles as summed up in Malachi 4:5-6 and Matthew 17:11. In the spirit of Elijah, we call God's people to “restore the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers” and to “restore all things.” We believe God is passionate to bring healing and restoration to individuals, families, churches, communities, regions, and nations.
To that end, we train members of the body of Christ to bring inner healing and transformation to the inner man through biblically-based revelations received by our founders, John and Paula Sandford, and other Elijah House leaders. We teach how to trace bad fruit to bitter roots such as unforgiveness, negative life decisions, and other strongholds in the heart. The student’s own healing and transformation is also an important goal of our schools. Healed people heal people! Most importantly, we teach people to listen to the Holy Spirit and follow His leading as they minister.
The ultimate goal is not only to bring inner healing to individuals and families, but as
ambassadors of Christ, to help them reconcile with others as well as with God. The result is empowered Christians who can rise up and become healthy leaders and a healing and sustaining force in their local church communities.
Prophetic prayer ministry training is offered on three levels:
100 LEVEL COURSES - recorded/live seminars and individual teachings that introduce Elijah House core lessons. These can be found on our online store (use search term "100 level").
200 LEVEL COURSES - are formal schools designed to heal, equip, and train to minister inner healing and transformation to others in the body of Christ.
300 LEVEL COURSES (COMING 2023) - offer advanced, hands-on prayer ministry training.
The Elijah House prayer ministry model gets to the heart of an issue like no other model can. Many pastors are using this model to train their altar ministry teams and counseling staff because it is scripture-based and effective. Individuals engaging in this training are empowered for meaningful personal growth and ministry to others.
100 LEVEL: COURSES FOR SMALL GROUPS
Elijah House and our partners have developed a number of seminar series for pastors and small group leaders to use in home study and small group settings. These teachings are available for purchase in our online store (click on the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner of any page on our website, use the search term "100 Series"). Most of these seminars are also available for live presentation! 200 LEVEL: SCHOOL OF MINISTRY TRAINING COURSE 201
Training Course 201 presents the foundational principles and ministry model for the internationally renowned Elijah House ministry schools for healing hearts. Elijah House makes this training available to every Christian to equip the saints for the work of ministry. Students are activated in the practice of prayer ministry in small group sessions.
200 LEVEL: SCHOOL OF MINISTRY TRAINING COURSE 202
(Prerequisite: completion and graduation of Training Course 201) Students learn to apply 201 skills to specific problems such as trauma, emotional abuse, sexual issues, shame, depression, generational sin, etc. Students are activated into the practice of prayer ministry in small group sessions.
200 LEVEL: ADVANCED SCHOOL OF MINISTRY TRAINING COURSE 230
(Prerequisite: completion and graduation of Training Course 201 and 202) Elijah House Advanced Prayer Ministry training is a course offered occasionally by Elijah House for the purpose of giving alumni more information about topics they may encounter in prayer counseling. This course also offers an excellent opportunity for students who have been away from prayer ministry for a while to brush up on the Elijah House prayer ministry model. The Advanced Course is a convenient extension of training for students who are not able to engage in the Elijah House 300 Level Internship Program.
300 LEVEL: ADVANCED INTERNSHIP
COMING 2023
(Prerequisite: completion and graduation of Training Course 201, 202, and 230) In the Elijah House Internship program, students are exposed to additional prayer ministry training material and are mentored in observation and then supervised participation with seekers during prayer ministry sessions. The training is comprised of three levels, with the intern increasing in direct participation. The purpose of the internship is:
* To instruct, equip, heal, and disciple - in partnership with Holy Spirit - persons who engage in prayer ministry, whether they be avocational or professional prayer ministers.
* To present an atmosphere in which interns learn to apply biblical principles and utilize fundamental ministry skills, including how to partner with the Holy Spirit and to discover their level of gifting in prayer ministry.
* At the end of each of the three phases of the internship program, an intern will receive a certificate of completion. This does not entitle or endorse an intern to be an associate, affiliate, representative, or prayer minister of Elijah House.
Space is limited in this program, so arrangements must be made well in advance with the Coordinator of Internships. Prerequisites include successful completion of Prayer Ministry Training Courses 201 and 202, as well as receiving a minimum of 12 hours of prayer ministry from a qualified Elijah House prayer ministry counselor. (Elijah House Schools and Internship Program are not accredited by any association.)
