General Information About Elijah House School for Prayer Ministry

Image The Elijah House School for Prayer Ministry was created from the ministry of John and Paula Sandford. In prayerfully planned instructional and ministry settings, we impart "Keys of Knowledge," opening the heart to recieve truth, renewing the mind, resulting in life tranformation through Christ. Led by the Holy Spirit, we are co-workers to "restore" broken and hurting hearts and reconcile relationships. In keeping with the Elijah House mission, our vision for the school is to equip, encourage, and release "Ambassadors for Christ" (II Corinthians 5:18-20), who will pick up His mantle and continue His mission of restoration and healing.

The School Goals of Elijah House Prayer Ministry School:

• To provide a safe setting for building relationships, learning, and putting ministry into practice
• To provide Scriptural foundation for Christ-centered Inner Healing (Sanctification and Transformation)
• To offer students the opportunity to experience personal healing through small group ministry with their peers
• To teach, model, and provide opportunity to practice ministry to one another according to the Word of God and in the power and sensitivity of Christ through the Holy Spirit

Image Please note: The overall emphasis in our school is training people to do prayer ministry. While people attending a school may receive ministry as a result of the teaching and small group experience, the school is not designed for those with deep personal problems who are seeking help only for themselves.

Prophetic School
The prophetic school has been a long-time vision and dream of John Sandford's, and is only now being birthed some 30 years later, according to God's timing. The purpose of this school is to help re-establish the proper function of the office of the prophet, as well as the prophetic in general, and its place within the Church. An element unique to Elijah House's message is to reveal the importance of prophetic people being healed of their own woundedness, as this can negatively affect how they hear God and carry out His will.

Image Much of what John teaches is drawn from his books such as The Elijah Task, Healing the Nations and Elijah Among Us. John's son, Mark, through his years of experience in healing ministry, has developed several topics that bring deeper insight to the common wounds found particularly in prophetic people and how to bring healing.

What People Are Saying About The Elijah House Prophetic School...
"I thought all the teachings were clear and concise and gave people a much more rounded view of what a prophet is and does. It is much more clear in my mind - anyone who has prophetic gifting or works with those who do, would benefit greatly from this school."
"I loved the no-fluff content! Thank you for the blessing of balance, patience for the right timing and trust in God to do the 'Stuff' and not force it to happen. Of course the fact that John and Mark have lived this and have so many appropriate stories and experiences puts it to life off the page. Thank you for the impartation and personal ministry."
"Very affirming and enlightening. Mostly solid, biblical foundation."
"The teachings were great. Having personal stories and humor added greatly. The whole experience was a tremendous blessing. Praise God for this 31 year dream has been fulfilled."
"It was a tremendous blessing to be here. Thank you John and Mark and EH staff - very healing experience as well."

Accreditation for Seminars and Schools
Elijah House receives numerous requests concerning college credit or continuing education credit during the course of the year. Unfortunately, Elijah House is not an accredited educational institution. As a result, we cannot offer credit directly for seminars and schools. However, credit may be available from other colleges and universities.

For those seeking credit, it is best to find out what requirements, standards or course information your school needs for granting credit on outside work and training. This will help you determine whether or not to pursue this further.

Once requirements are known, seminar participants need to contact the seminar host who will be able to provide the needed information about the seminar and what will be taught. For the prayer ministry schools, it is up to the student to provide the school information (which is found in the school booklet) and their certificate to the college or university to grant or not grant credit for our course.
