Dear Friends in Christ,
Paula has now been in a care facility for 22 months (today I paid for her medications for one month--$983.00!). She still knows me, but hardly anyone else. She cannot participate in the activities put on by the Creekside Inn staff, because she can't understand and follow the directions--and then falls asleep. Two months ago she fell in the night and badly bruised her head and face. X-rays at the hospital revealed no broken bones, but showed the extent of the damage the disease had done to her brain. In November, my mother laid her mantle on Maureen. For those who do not know, Paula has Alzheimer's, but that has not cooled the warmth of her mother's heart-the legacy of a lifetime of repentance and purification. On the 10th of June, during our Elijah House 30th anniversary celebration, Paula and I, along with John Paul Jackson, were speaking prophetic words of blessing and encouragement over our six Sandford children. While we were prophesying over Mark, I saw in a vision the mantle of Elijah falling onto him, not only as a cloth, but as curled scripts of writing gently wafting down from Heaven upon his shoulders.
